What to do if you suddenly become unconscious

When someone suddenly becomes unconscious at home or in the office, the usual hullabaloo begins. Some pour water on the head, some rub the oil on the palm, some try to open their mouth with something inside. In fact, it is important to know how people in the neighborhood behave responsibly at the moment.

One. The first task will be to call the emergency caregiver. Now, in Bangladesh, the call for emergency service providers has been started by calling number 7. In addition, there are many ambulance services that call home to reach you quickly. Having done this first, you will have time to do the rest of the work until the serviceman arrives.

Two. Sleep well with the ignorant. Get rid of dangerous objects like sharp objects, kitchens, fire sources, etc. If possible, tilt it to one side, so that the saliva or discharge on the face, neck, can come out.

Three. Check whether the patient is breathing from chest movements. If anyone in the house or nearby knows how to breathe in the face, call him or her.

Four. Nowadays almost all homes have blood pressure measuring instruments. If the blood pressure is too low or not available, raise the foot slightly or pillow under the foot.

Five. If you have diabetes, check with glucometer to see if blood sugar is reduced. If there is no machine, it is better to give some sugar inside the mouth. But do not try to drink any syrup or food to the ignorant patient, thereby putting the food at risk of running into the lungs.

Six. When the patient starts to tremble, stop panicking without panic, then tilt to one side. Do not try to put any spoon or such thing in the face. There is no profit in trying to forcefully stop aching or sniffing things at the nose.

Seven. There is no profit by raising crowds and shouting unnecessarily. On the contrary, if it is due to irregular heartbeat, the patient's problem may be exacerbated.

Lastly, a healthy person can suddenly become unconscious for various reasons. Whatever the reason, whether knowledge comes back or not, he should be taken to the emergency department of any hospital after primary care.
